Got 6 new michelin tires

I had a tire blow out. the tread separated. The tire dealer said there is a recall on all my Michelin tires. If you didn't check, you probably should. They recall these tires for a reason. My blow out proved it. Go to the Michelin sight to find if your tires are recalled. Stan

Stan,
What make or model of Michelin tires did you have? Where they ST (trailer)
or LT (truck tires)?
What did you put back on did you change the model of tire? I just put on my truck a set of Michelin Defenders but on my 5ver I have the Michelin UPS Rib tire and I have had them for almost 7 years now with no issues so far. According to Michelin they could go 7 to 10 years so they are close to end of life, but they are not showing signs of cracking on the side walls and there is plenty of tread, but I will keep a close eye on them and I keep them covered from the Florida sun.

The same 6 Michelin tires were put back on they were LT. They made a bunch of defective tires. Mine was in the group recalled. They were five years old. Good deal for me. The tire that blew out was on the rear. Had it been a front, who knows what would have happened. Say going 55 down a grade with a drop off on one side. Scares me just thinking of it. Stan
