Grayhawk MV29 gas mileage

Just purchased a slightly used 2015 Grayhawk 29 MV. We made a few local trips of about 100 miles or so. Love the unit. Spending a lot of time at the gas pump.
So.. That being said; what kind of mileage can you expect. Also, how much does flat towing a small Jeep or Honda decrease your mpg?

I get 8.5 mpg. 9.0 on a really good day with no head wind and no hills. I lose between .5 and 1.0 mpg towing a #3400 Honda CRV. These numbers come from a Scangauge. My cross country trip last year without towing came to 8.2 mpg per the Scangauge.

My mileage is somewhat similar to HOPPERS. We just completed a 1000 mile trip from home to Kerrville, TX and back some two weeks ago.

Because Houston was under water, we drove westerly along TX 105 out of north Beaumont, and reconnected to I-10 at Flatonia, TX. That made for driving slow through many small towns. That slow driving calculated to 6.8MPG towing a Forester (3300 lbs). Houston was clear as we headed home, so we took I-10 easterly.

The return drive gave us 8.7 at 65MPG. the wind seemed to be at our back most of the way home....
