Greyhawk 2010 Radio

We have a 2010 31 FS on a 2009 E450. When we turn on the headlights the radio dims as it should. A few minutes later it gets bright again. If you leave it alone after a few minutes it will go dim again. It will repeat this cycle as long as the headlights are on. We took it back to our dealer who put in a new radio but we have the same issue. The dealer dragged the issue out until we no longer have any warranty. Any one else have this issue? And if so how did you get it fixed?

Thanks Rip

Most radios do not dim progressively like dash lights do, they are either dim or bright depending on if dash lights are on or off. Your dash light brightness may be at a setting at the point where the radio dims or does'nt. Try a slight adjustment either up or down on the dash lights to see if this remedies the problem. I installed car radios for 23 yrs and this was a common problem.

Rip, we had this and many many more problems with the stock radio/stereo/GPS/DVD player set up put in our 2010 Greyhawk. Our dealer actually replaced ours 3 times... then finally we replaced that unit with the Kenwood DNX9960. We love it! It works fantastic! The features are great!
