Hi all. In my 2015Greyhawk 31DS, I have the Clarion NX501 NAV/CD/DVD/ system and removed the "micro sd" card, used the Naviextras tool box and updated the system, which includes the map updates for free. I agree with greyhawk51, this took about an hour to update, and I know the maps got updated as it now shows the new Hwy exit near my place. I see on the Naviextras site you can buy additional maps if you want to. I believe the key to getting your free upgrades is built in to the firmware on the SD card when you register with Naviextras site. Cheers
I am waiting for delivery of my 2016 31FS. Does the included navigation system give routes specific to RV's or is it just regular GPS that you can find in a sedan?
That's a good question? I don't know. I used it for a couple of trips but the location of the unit is not very good for making menu selections "on the fly". I have not traveled anywhere where there may be a low bridge of some other obstruction to see if it will steer me away. I removed the SD card from the front of the unit, went to the NAVIEXTRAS.com site, regisitered my ubit and downloaded the updates for free, since the greyhawks come with this option. If you find an answer to this I would like to know. Cheers.
