Unhappy Greyhawk, Redhawk recall....

Just got a recall on all Jayco products with a plastic sliding shower door. They are too flammable, and will be replaced.

Anyone else get the recall yet?

Yeah - we're second owner so it would be nice to know if the Recall is out someplace.

Yes, letter arrived Monday. Hope they will ship out for self install and not have to deal at all with Dealer service.

Turns out that this recall effects not just motorhomes, but any products (and not just Jayco) that uses shower doors from that manufacturer.

Liability requires the dealer do the recall and document it.

We just bought a used 2014 Redhawks 26xs from a local dealer. We will take possession this coming Monday after the PDI.

How will this recall work for us, as we aren't the original owner and have just registered and licensed it. We are kind of in "limbo land" here!

I'm assuming that the dealer is responsible for the replacement--is this correct?
Thanks for any advice!

My educated guess is that we -- second owners -- only need to worry about *how* we get notified.

My presumption is, like all US governed vehicles, the Feds make the manufacturer responsible for the fix.

It would be nice if Jayco had a "Register your RV/Trailer with us..." link of their website.

Does this recall include 2015 Greyhawk 31DS model. I have the "corner" shower two piece sliding door and have not received any recall letter. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Sorry, I have no idea what specific doors are included, it just said that the plastic shower doors may catch on fire too fast.

Ooops... took mine into the dealer for a cargo door leak, and they are doing the recall work. Once it's there at the dealer, they have to take care of the recall to keep the warranty intact. It will be interesting to see what it looks like.
