Grreyhawk / Redhawk bathroom fan dead
Our bathroom fan is completely dead... does anyone know if it has it's own fuse?
THANKS!

It definitely should have a fuse.

Thanks, it must be a dedicated fuse, because nothing else is out. I hope that it's not an in-line fuse up in the ceiling.

It is a silly question but do you have 2 switches on the fan? One on the wall and one on the fan? Are they both on. Sorry just have to ask.

Roger that....
It's a reversible MaxxAir with a switch on it and one on the wall. I tried all of the combinations.
Thanks....

I would not think they would put a fuse in the wall. If you have a multi meter check for power at fan and then the switch on the wall. Probably something pinched somewhere

Shoot, no fuses labeled for the bathroom fan, I guess if there is one, it must be an in-line fuse in the power wire for the fan, and I have no way to find that. Guess that it will have to go to the dealership when we get home.

Another silly question... Is the vent lid open? The FF's have a switch that shuts them off when the lid it closed... and if it is open did you look at that switch to make sure it "poped" back up?

Good thought....
I just ran the hatch open and closed a few times, but no joy. I can see the black and blue wires coming out of the fan motor, but I cant see them from inside, to check for a fuse.
Darn, this is frustrating.

Great, now the fume detector went crazy...reset button didn't work, even shutting off the main power button wouldn't stop it'. All the lights were flashing and the alarm was sounding. I had to pull the unit out and cut the wires. Can't believe that there is no way to shut the thing down.....

When it rains...
I'll bet there's no way to disable the explosive gas detector so folks don't disable it and forget about it.

Push the button on the front of the panel and it resets.. if there is gas present it will go off again in a few min.

We had the gas detector on our 26xd go crazy. The reset button is pretty flimsy, pushed it in and it did not retract. It was replaced by the dealer.
