Hotwater Problems

I have a Jayco Melbourne 29D. My hotwater tank produces hotwater when running on Propane but when on electric it takes a very long time to produce very little hotwater.
Can anyone point me in the direction to remedy this problem?
Thank you!

I run mine on propane, even with Full H/U. I find propane heats water quicker and the recovery time is faster too.

Could you just be experiencing the inefficiency of using the water heater on Elec?

I don't think so... It's a relatively small tank and a pretty big element (for the tank size).
When you run the generator and turn on on the electric hot water, do you hear the generator load up?
How long is a "long time" when waiting for the water to heat?

I agree that the water might heat faster on propane but I have never had a problem with my water not heating when using the electric element if I have full hookup I always use the electric side only use propane when I dont have hookups. The OP didnt say if he had electric hookup or if he was using a Generator
