hump in floor of Melbourne 28F

Hello, we have a 2013 Jayco Melbourne 28F and are experiencing an issue with the floor. Right in the hall at approximately the frig and bathroom door, the floor has a considerable hump in it. We were wondering if anybody else has this problem, we have contacted Jayco and are waiting on a response. If anyone else has or have had the issue what caused it and how was it repaired ??

thanks, Rick

Me too. 2013 28F. Hump not significant, but would be interested in learning if you hear anything back from Jayco.

The hump is even more pronounced now that we have approximately 14000 miles on it. The bottom rail on the cabinet under the frig has cracked now as well. Jayco has agreed this is a definite problem and apparently the L brackets that support the rubber mounts for the J Ride are bending, not strong enough. They will fix it at the factory and its approximately a 3 week fix. They have been very supportive and are standing behind their product. They tell us we will be completely satisfied with the fix.

Have the same problem with our 2012 Melbourne 28F. In addition to the "hump," the bathroom vanity cabinet and counter top became very noticibly deformed. The dealer (in consultation with the factory folks) fixed it. We love our Jayco floor plan and lots of its features, but this issue plus several others give us pause about future Jayco purchases. For those who notice this problem, but choose to "live with it," it will get worse. My recommendation is to have Jayco fix it now.

Yes we are in the process of having it fixed at North Trail RV in Ft Myers. it been almost a month but hopefully getting it back soon. After so many problems you would think Jayco would change some procedures when building the unit.

I also have a 2011 28F with the same problem. Interesting. My problem is that there are NO Jayco factory authorized dealers close to my location.

2011 28F Floor hump.

I have a 2011 28F with 22000 miles with the same problem. It has caused a 1/8" crack to open in the cabinetry below the refrigerator. The hump across the floor is very pronounced.

Did you get it fixed? What did it cost and are you satisfied?

Has anyone found out what caused these humps? We also have a 2013 Melbourne 28F with a hump. We bought it last year and of course it is out of warranty. Only has 6000 miles on it.

Geman1 described the problem, and stated that his dealer fixed it under warranty. But his post was from 2013, so the reaction you will get from the dealers or from Jayco may be different today.
