Hoppers4, I was originally smitten by some Thor Class C's, right up until I started to read up on all of their quality issues. At the Tampa RV show, I was introduced to the Forester and quickly switched allegiance. Then My Inlaws found the Seneca and told me of their previous Jayco units that were very reliable versus so much of what we see from all of the other products. The 2 year warranty says a lot to me. Sure things are missed or fail while rolling down the road, I mean after all you are building a house on wheels.
How many 12V outlets are there in the coach outside of the cab area?
The one thing that I noticed as a difference in the floorplan is that you get more counterspace in the Red/Greyhawks, but it comes at the expense of room on the other side of the rear bed. While it is an inconvenience, realistically the counterspace will be needed much more than the ability to stand on both sides of the bed. I love the motorized TV mount, but dislike the need to cut wires so the kids can watch it while rolling. On that note having a 12V TV would be a lot cheaper and more efficient, but heck they threw in an inverter at least. My current Winnebago View 24P (for another week) has a tv that also is only 110v, but no inverter, so you HAVE to run the generator if you want to see the movie.
If I can get the price to a better point, I may have a 31FS this weekend.

CarlB, there is no 12V outlets outside of the cab area. There's also a real shortage of 115VAC outlets in the coach. My 29MV only has 2 in the bedroom (1 in a bad place), 1 in the living area, 1 over the large counter, 1 by the entry door, and 1 (also inverter powered) over the cab. My previous rig (Winnebago Sightseer Class A) had bunches of outlets including 12V by the dinette so this was a real setback. However, that being said, there's been other trade offs too but overall I prefer the Jayco. Mainly for the ride, the driveability, the larger galley, and more sleeping space. I think Jayco quality is on par with Winnebago and I found the Winnebago to be a pretty good product.
Sure, you'll find stuff wrong and fit and finish leaves a bit to be desired but overall I'd be surprised if you found any show stoppers. My biggest gripe has been the tankless water heater that I immediately changed it out, but other people really like them. Sounds like you're about ready to find out.
Good luck with your 31FS if you decide to buy it.

Congratulations on your beautiful RV. But I have to ask is the water control panel a home made mod or is that just Jayco's way of doing things? It look amateurish and I feel embarrassed for them.

Thanks! Ha! The water control panel is all Jayco . I would have done a much nicer job. But it works, so it's ok for me.

MarkeMark, actually the water control station is pretty good. My previous Jayco didn't have this control station. I had to go under the bathroom sink and try to figure out which valves to turn. Really a complicated, messy arrangement. My Winnebago had a control station that wouldn't do as much. I couldn't bypass the water heater. I actually had to go under the galley sink and turn a valve there in order to bypass the water heater (ended up removing the check valves at both ends of the water heater because they started making noise but that's a whole nother story). The Winnebago was also harder to set up for winterization (get the whole system drained).

I had the front end alignment checked out by a reliable shop. It was right on from the dealer/factory??? When I did the hellwig adjustment it made a big difference in the handling.
