internet connection

i am presently in NY and my 2012 Greyhawk 31DS is in FL so I cannot check this out myself. I understand that at Fort Wilderness there is no wifi at the individual lots but that there is a cable modem connection. My question is whether the Greyhawk has a connection for a cable internet hookup. My recollection is that there was one but since I purchased the motorhome in 2012 I have not needed such a connection.

You do not have a cable "internet" connection, you have a cable TV connection. The FORT will give you a "modem kit" that has the necessary cables and a splitter along with the instructions on how to connect everything. You need to plug your laptop into the cable modem with an ethernet cable unless you have your own wifi modem to connect to the cable modem for wireless, which is what we do. Actually that is how I am responding right now.

Enjoy the FORT.

Thank you. So I guess I will need that kit when I check in and I presume that I will be able to use my router to get wifi throughout the motorhome. I hope that the broadband is faster than the speed at Old Key West where we were unable to even get Apple TV to connect.

I've been able to stream the local news from home with no problem.
