Inverter question Jayco Seneca 37 TS 2016

Howdy,
This is my first post so bear with me, please.
I have a new 2016 Seneca 37 TS. I am having some issues with the Xantrex 1800 inverter. Upon turning it on at the panel it will power up as follows:
1. Prosine1800
2. 12volt 120 volt 60 hz
3 system shutdown
I saw one time Ps fault

It was fine up to this point but now will not stay on. I have tried the reset at the panel and turn power off at the main box. Has anyone else run into this?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

That is the message for overload or system fault shutdown. Disconnect all loads and then try switching the unit on again and see if it continues. If it does continue even with no load on the inverter it is probably some type of failure requiring a service visit.

You might try unplugging the power cable disconnect feeding the inverter (in first compartment behind battery compartment) completely disconnecting it from the coach batteries and then try reconnecting it to see if a complete shutdown has any effect. It does have computer control circuits, maybe a complete "reboot" might help. Can't hurt at the very least.

Thank you. Went through the suggested steps and still not working. Guess it is an electronic gremlin that requires a service visit. Appreciate the suggestions.

When you get it resolved please post the results back here. Your experience may help others with similar issues.

Good luck!

Inverter issues

I went through all the trouble shooting steps I was aware of for the Seneca 37TS. I contacted the service department where I purchased the RV and ran the problem past them and the steps I attempted to resolve it. Upon hearing that, they were satisfied that I did what they would have done. A new inverter has been ordered and will arrive Monday for installation.

My inverter was doing the same thing.I brought to the dealer and he changed a setting which prevents the inverter from going into power save mode after a few seconds without having a load on it....

Congrats on your new Seneca. We have found ours to be a great product. Sorry to hear about the Inverter problem, but please understand a new motorhome is like a new boat. A new boat has a far greater chance of sinking, than a year old boat. There are a whole lot of systems that have been gathered in one box, your Seneca, and they all have to be tested and made sure that they work together.

Read through these forums and others and you will see lots of adventures and learning curves that many of us have encountered.
