Jayco Seneca Freightliner Warranty
Sitting around a campground, someplace, somewhere at sometime, somebody
mentioned you could take a Freightliner Class A to the Freightliner Factory, where they were built, and the manufacturer would go over it before it went out from Warranty.
Anyone ever heard of something like that for the M2 Seneca?

I don't know
I don't know if this is true or not, but the Seneca's M2 chassis is built at a different facility from the Class A chassis. I know, b/c I wanted to do a tour of the factory where the M2 was built, but kept reading about the Freightliner Custom Chassis facility in South Carolina. I looked into it more and they don't build the M2 there. They build them in North Carolina.

My 2014 was built in Mt. Holly, NC.

It was manufactured at a Daimler Trucks North America LLC assembly plant in Mexico. I guess the Freightliner folks farm out the assembly of these to meet market demand.

Decided to investigate this myself and called the 800 number on a key fob we got with the purchase of our Seneca. It says Freightliner Customer Assistance Center 1-800-385-4357 option 2. With option on RV's got a gentleman that said since the M2 was a truck frame I needed to go to the truck menu. Got a lady there that said only option I would have is to take to an authorized dealer and they might check it over for a price. In the last 2 years we have had our Seneca into Truck Centers of America around the St. Louis, Missouri. and Bloomington, Illinois area for minor leaks on the engine and drive train. Before the 2 year warranty from Jayco runs out, I need to get it in to have a window switch replaced or looked at and will pay to have the authorized service center go over everything related to the Freightliner side. Plan is also to have the Jayco Seneca side gone over by my dealer, Motor Homes 2 Go in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before October 9, 2017, our 2 year date. We have right at 30,000 miles on the chassis and engine and 500 hours on the generator.

build plant
My 2014 was built in Mexico. Daimler Vehiculos Comerciales Mexico is on the top-most label on the the driver's side door jamb. Maybe 1-1/2" by 10" long with all the GVWR and others.

Driver's side visor sticker (see below). Disregard the arrow I previously Photoshopped in, that was from another thread discussion about varying wheelbases and spliced frames!
I also had an "Assembled by United Auto Workers, Mount Holly NC" sticker on my windshield. I bet the M2s assembled south of the border don't have one, but I would guess they cost Jayco (and the end buyer) the same!

Well, mine says 11/14 in Mehecoe, but also says North America LLC. I'll leave the rest of my opinion for another website or blog, tweet or twit.

The VIN tells all. VIN character position #11 tells where it was built. An `H' means Mt. Holly, NC, and a `D' means M-B Mexico, Santiago, according to the M2 Body Builder Book.

H is in mine, so it jives perfectly with my visor tag information.
