Jensen radio not working

Is there a fuse on the radio? If so does anyone no where it is located on the Freightliner? Can't find anything in the manual. It was working fine two weeks ago when I parked it. Flipped the battery switch when we put the motor home away and now it's dead. Don't care much about the radio, but with it out I have no cameras.

There's a tiny hole under the volume knob. Use a pin or end of paper clip to push the button inside which is the reset. My radio has "locked up" in the past and I thought there was no power to it but this reset put me back in business.

Ok, that didn't work. Either the fuse is blown or the radio is dead. I found the Freightliner fuse block under the hood, but no radio fuse.

Under the hood on the drivers side fender well top there is a fuse box about 4 x 4 with 2 red cables attached to the forward side. Open it by pressing on both tabs on the side facing the rear of the rig. Fuse F12 (20 amp) is for the radio.

5 dealers have tried to make mine work - MIDDLEBURY IS GOING TO TRY NEXT - stopped in January and can't get an appointment with Jayco until October 13th
Very poor piece of equipment in a high dollar motorhome

If it's dead dead then I don't have much of a suggestion! Mine was near-dead, the cameras worked but the Jensen screen was solid white.

Reset did NOT work for me.

The only thing that fixed it was pulling BOTH battery cables completely off - both the coach and the chassis batteries. Left them off for 30 seconds, then reconnected - chassis (Ford) then the motorhome battery and that fixed it for me.

I suspect the fuses are behind the unit. I also suspect that pulling the head-unit out is about the only practical way to access something. When I looked up under my dash, it was a nightmare of wires.

Another thought to *try* is any Car Toys, Best Buy or any other store that specializes in automotive stereo installation. You'd probably have to pay for it, but it might be the fastest way to get it fixed -- give it to some 20 year old who does this stuff for a living.

The first easy places to check are shown in the first 2 pictures of fuse boxes located under the hood drivers side that have fuses marked "Radio". If these are ok then you may have to remove part of the dashboard and dig through the mess of wires shown in the 3rd picture. Good luck, and please let us know what the final fix was.

seneca37rb15, one more easy place to check for the radio fuse is your power control center, mine is located in the bedroom. Fuse #1 for the dash radio 15 amp. I remember in post somewhere, maybe here, it was mentioned the radio being powered from the house batteries.

What about the fuse blocks beneath and behind the driver's seat?

Or on the rear of the head unit itself (lower right corner)?

Ed is correct all fuses for the dash or where he told you it was. If that fuse is not blown then you have other issues. Check to see if you are getting power to the radio. Its pretty easy to get to and pull out.
