JRV9000 Bluetooth on even when radio is off

Anyone else having this issue? We just bought a Greyhawk with the Jensen radio and even with the radio off the bluetooth is still on and connecting to my phone. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Ignition on or off?

My 2013 VW Jetta always connected to the phone and would hands-free answer as long as the ignition switch was on. Regardless of whether or not the entertainment center (AM/FM/XM/Sirius/Aux/MP3...) was active.

Ignition off. This is very strange.

Did they give you a manual?

How about a url for a link to the web page that'll lead you to the repository of the unreadable files for last year's model?

I have the manual and it has nothing in it regarding this kind of issue. I already know that calling Jensen will be fruitless.

Then it is on 24/7 as long as you are in range of the Bluetooth.

With the ignition off, will the radio play?

If yes, then it has been hard-wired to an always hot line. You'll have to get the dealer to change it. Go for warranty claim: it SHOULD follow the ignition switch!

On my 29mv the radio is powered by the camper battery. To stop the phone go to the blue tooth setting on the radio and turn it off. I learned that by having the phone go off at 2am with my speakers on really loud.

I went to the bluetooth setting on the radio and turned off auto-connect. I only use bluetooth to stream music so having to manually connect is not a big deal.

I have the Jensen JRV215N headunit and it's actually powered by *both* batteries. Well, perhaps best said it's energized or connected to both.

Try yanking the coach battery positive cable and test. Or v.v. yank the auto battery positive cable and test.

You're right - I asked Jensen Tech support about a problem with mine and they responded quickly but the help wasn't helpful at all. Got better support from forums.
