I have an 08 GH 31ss, bought it used a couple years ago. At the time of purchase the replaceable water filter was installed under the sink. I removed the water filter and installed the oem threaded winterizing pipe (not sure of the term) and used a water filter at the spigot since then.
The connection(s) under the sink are now leaking a slow drip, so I plan on removing these connections/oem pipe, and replace with pex piping when I return from FL. I cussed alot when I removed the water filter and installed the threaded pipe, so I'm wondering if pulling the kitchen sink out would make the job of pex installation easier?
It looks like it make the task fairly simple but, am I asking for more trouble by removing the sink, or possibly lifting/raising the sink up on blocks to make the switch??
Any tips or suggestions are welcome.
I don't fit very well thru the opening below the sink (typical kitchen cabinet door layout but much smaller than in the house). Wife says I can't use the grandson who would fit much better in that small space.
