leak in storage compartment

i am having a issue with a leaking storage compartment the passenger side in the back short long compartment . i just cant seem to find the leak i tried to use calk and other things to seal the areas around but just cant find the leak. i noticed that inside of the top sweats alot unlike the other compartments and there is no shower on top of that area of the mh

Have you tried adjusting the tension on the latches to see if that helps, or maybe locking the compartment door to get a better seal. I know on my GH that if I don't lock the rear storage compartment door during hard rains, it will leak, but when locked, it won't.

I spent months looking for a leak in our rear storage compartment.... Finally crawled inside with a flashlight and had DW keep hitting all the areas around the storage door with water from a hose, the shore power area, cable TV connector area...

Our problem turned out to be the storage door frame. When JAYCO screwed it in, they slightly bent the frame that the gasket was stuck to causing a 1/4" gap between the gasket and frame. Tapped the bend out of it and that eliminated the problem. If I had not climbed into the compartment, I would still be looking for the leak. I was actually happy to see water coming in...

I always lock the doors but I may try to tighten the hinges . How do you do that ??

Thanks well the storage is too small for me to climb inside but someone else told me to try to tighten the hinges so I will try that first

Don't think you can adjust the hinges as you say, the latches or butterfly like handles that latch the door closed are adjustable. Look on the inside and you'll some threads and nut on the back side, try tightening it or loosening as needed, or you can bend (easy does it)
the metal bar that moves when the butterly handle is turned. this will adjust the the pressure and may give the door a better seal.

Since you can not climb into the storage area,

Idea #1 - Put a light in the storage compartment, take a smart phone, set it to video, put it inside the storage area, aim it at the door/wall and close/lock the storage door and spray the out side of the storage door area with a hose. When finished, review the video to see if you can locate the leak.

Idea #2 - Put a bright light inside the storage compartment and when it gets really dark outside, turn on the light, close/lock the door and look around the door to see if you can see any place where light is coming through.

If there are areas where the cable connection is, or shore power opening do the same.
