I think the motor home folks probably have automatic levelers and don't worry to much about it. They probably have pads to put under the feet but most I've seen don't even bother with that.

We carry 2x6 boards in 2 and 3 foot lengths with the ends cut at a 45 degree angle. I grew up using lumber and this has worked for us since we often have ended up many degrees off camber and in soft terrain. I find the lumber to be better able to cope with different and odd situations, and have seen too many plastic blocks sink or break to use them for my use. That being said, I would carry more than you think you need and of the material you are most comfortable. We just seem to always end up in un-level places, not always in campgrounds.

I also discovered I had to recalibrate my Bigfoot levelers. The procedure in the manual was great and now I'm spot on. My front jacks have 5 blocks and a cap under each.

I think more pull-behind RVers carry leveling blocks than do MH campers. But I do have a set of four Utility Blocks to place under the Bigfoot levelers on soft ground. They also stack and interlock to level the Greyhawk on a site which is slightly beyond the range of the Bigfoot system. Like me, they are made in North Carolina.

I think it is acceptable to hang the front tires in the air a reasonable amount. Being free to rotate, they do not restrict the MH from moving even if on the ground.

However, I leave the rear wheels on the ground because they are locked when the transmission is in park and also by the parking brake. The rears are what keeps you from moving on a sloped site. I also wedge chocks under the rear tires.

Same here.
