It sort of depends how far you are from the dealer. We are 15 miles from the dealer so we went over everything, ran all the systems but not in great detail figuring we drive by the dealer twice a week. But if you are several hours away I would go over every detail from running and understanding systems to how everything turns on and off. If you can get the manual before you pick up the 29D, read it and make a list of what is confusing you.

Great suggestions thus far. When you do the PDI have someone came with you and take notes/pictures/video of the whole process. It is very exciting to get your new rig and can be overwhelming to remember everything they tell you. Trun on every even the lights so you know where the switches are and that no bulbs are blown or not working. Since you are so far from the dealership, plan on some time off so you can camp near the dealership and try everything for a few days. If any questions you will be in the neighborhood! My dealership in only 6 miles away and the RV service tech gave me his cell phone # to call with any questions. I have a RV pad at home so camped there for a few days before venturing out into the wild! Good luck and let us know how you enjoy the new home on wheels.

Tom Copland. Also have a Jayco Melbourne 29D (2012) on order. Keep us informed when you get yours and how you like it. Do you plan to tow something behind and if so what?

Our 29D arrived at dealer today. Will pick up next Thursday/Friday. We can't wait!
Will probably tow something in the future. Thinking maybe of a jeep.
