I have a 2010 Melbourne 29D. I've been told there is a manual crank that operates with a socket wrench for the slides in case of an emergency. Does anyone know where they are located? Thanks.
I have a Greyhawk and it is under the coach I think on the motor. Do you have any of the manuals, they will tell you where it is exactly. If you don't the internet will have the info. If you don't have a manual in the general chat area of the forum you can down load it there.
The section for the slide out is around pages 68 to 70 in all the latest manuals. A great place for copies the older manuals is http://parts.cunninghamcampers.com
We have a 2007 Melbourne. There are no "cranks" per se - but you can use a standard socket wrench one the slide motor to operate in an emergency. You'll need to be sure to disengage the motor lock, which is simple.
Spoke to Jayco. I needed this information also.
The back slide is under the bed.
The two front slides are in the two forward storage compartments. There's suppose to be an access panel that can be removed to find the releast.
You need a 3/4 socket to move in or out. There is no built-in crank.
I'm going to check it out today.
OK, the right front slide access is under the coach aft of the propane tank. Black plastic square cover with 4 screws.
Left slide access is in the left forward storage compartment. Same square cover with 4 screws.
