New seneca fuel tanks

Can anyone help me determine how the two fuel tanks works on the freight liner seneca? I am having trouble filling tank and low fuel light is coming on at about 300 miles on tank.

you have to fill each tank individually. Remember diesel foams A LOT so after the fuel handle kicks off give it a min for the foam to settle and add more fuel.

It could be the fuel hose from the filler cap to the tank has a sag in it. We had that problem with a pusher a few years ago. The dealer shortened the hose--no more problems filling the tank. Crawl under your rig and have a look.

300 miles seems early I agree. I know my fuel level gauge is very sensitive to tilt, by as much as 1/8 tank. The only time I had it down to below a quarter tank the reserve light kept going on and off so I felt like I had no idea of my range.

I also don't feel like I have 72 (or whatever it is) gallons of capacity. Half a tank fill up seems to be more like 25 gallons.

Hey Gto1818, This is a known problem with the M2 Business class Freightliners. Just went thru major tank issues with my 2012 Seneca 36FK... not pulling from passenger side tank...some kind of film in bottom of tank..all covered by Freightliner but when I asked about why the fuel light comes on so quick, post my first long trip after tanks cleaned, the guys in SanAntonio told me it is a known issue. I have gone 480 miles with out the generator kicking off, which it will at 1/8th tank. Good luck finding your sweet spot fuel tank mileage.
