Privacy curtain

Hello. We just bought a 2016 Melbourne 24 k. Privacy curtains are installed for the overhead sleeper but below that are "Hook & Loop" fasteners that appear to be for coach privacy. These fasteners are round velcro and are screwed on around the curved head cutout below the flip up part of the bed.
Did anyone get these with their coach. The dealer says they are not supplied and has never seen any. Just wondering about the story.
Thank you!

Roy, I got lower privacy curtains with my Seneca while others did not. Call the Jayco support line and tell them you don't have the curtains that go with the velcro spots. Maybe it was an oversight.

Roy, in addition to the inside curtains I have a product similar to goofy's that mounts from the outside with magnets. You can see through these from the outside esp at night when you have lights on. For "privacy" at night you need the inside curtains.

Thanks to everyone who helped!
I found the drape in the bedspread bag.
Jayco manual says inside the bed storage but we have a tail end slide so no under bed storage 'cause the slide mech. is inside it.
I will be a frequent visitor here while we shake this new rig down. Please overlook my obviously dumb questions.
Thanks again!
Roy

Goofy,
Thanks for the link to the windshield cover. Does it work that we can open the front door windows for ventilation?

Rgolding,

I have never tried to open the windows, however I can't see why not.......it goes on the windshield and straps on the doors....therefore not touching the side window.

I was just going to tell you that mine were in the overhead cabinets in the bedroom, glad you found them.

Just purchased the Melbourne 24k and our privacy curtain is not long enough to attach to all the Velcro dots if you follow the curves of the entertainment center. Was this curtain made for the bunk option? Is there a longer one for the entertainment version of the layout?

A stretch of material came with our Grey Hawk29MV along with those round Velcro tabs, but they don't stay very well. The wife was considering sewing some material onto the upper privacy curtain reaching to the floor, but we have some windshield screens (for windshield and side windows) coming that may very well black out the entire cab from peering eyes from the outside.

OK .... Our heat shields came in this afternoon. We installed them and are "very pleased" with the outcome. They stretch out "completely" over the windshield and side door glass.

THE windshield Heat Shields are held in place by the sunvisors. the Side glass is held in place by 5 suction cups on each heat shield. Once gain I feel compelled to say....
"I LOVE THEM"

On the product is the name "Heater's Original Heat Shields". THE invoice simply indicates ...... HEATSHIELD

I forgot to mention they totally eliminate the need for that privacy curtain behind the driver and passenger seats, plus all the sun protection that is afforded by the shields.

We just bought a 2016 Jayco 24L Melbourne on the MB chassis.
I do not understand the full slide--my question is --what happens when the slide does
not re track ? Is there anything we can do?
What maintenance should be done to insure it re tracks?
Any advise and thanks

There may be other threads about this but you have Schwintek In-wall slide system. If you go to youtube and search for that there are several good videos that will answer your questions and more. here is one to get you started.

We had a similar experience with our Jayco Melbourne. I called them and they sent us another. This was much better but it still was not long enough to reach the entire area' Wjile trying to stretch all away around they must of forgot that they added some trim board and it will not attach from end to end. I am having them send one more of the velcro buttons so that I can move it in about 4 inchs and every thing will be just right'
We have just gotten our Jayco Melbourne and trying to figure out where to add a second battery. The manual is not so easy to read because it was designed for the older Melbourne in some places. There is no inverted how ever the older Melbourne had an inverter.
So you have to read between what is and isn't in the manual. The vehicle book is also lacking in clarity.
