Will be heading out for a 12 day dry-camping trip in a few weeks in our class C. Should the propane last long enough. We figure to use the stove once, maybe twice a day, and will need daily heated water for showers. Also we will be where temps at night fall into the mid 30's so I expect we will run the heater quite a bit at night. Typically how long should propane last (I think our tank is 15 gallons).
Being that the propane tank is built into the MH, I'd hate to pick up half way into the trip and go searching for a propane re-fill station. Any thoughts.
two options for you.. a Mr Buddy heater.. uses less propane and NO battery power.. an "extend-a-stay" this lets you add a transportable propane tank to your system..
You have about 1,000,000 BTUs usable in the tank, you sould have no problem with 2 weeks. Go the your Jayco manual and that will show how many BTUs each appliance uses per hour. Just got back from a week of dry camping and used only about 3/8 of a tank.
