Question on fuel during storage

I just switched to a 31DS this year from a TT, and I never had to worry about fuel when winterizing. I've got about 15 gallons sitting in my RV tank and the length of the piping makes it very difficult to siphon fuel out. I know that around here all of the gasoline I buy is E10, which is prone to phase separation when it sits unused for a long period of time. This may mix with new fuel in the spring and cause driveability issues. So my incentive for removing the fuel is both economic and a fuel quality concern too.

Does anyone typically remove fuel when winterizing and if so, are there any techniques anyone would like to share?

Thanks!

If you cannot get the gas out you could use this marine gas stabilizer formulated for ethanol. I use it in my boats and power equipment during storage.

I was told by dealer to store with a full tank (55 gallons) and add STA-BIL to it according to directions on bottle. This will keep condensation from forming in tank. I also have a 31 DS which is a 2011.

Good luck

If you have a generator you will need to run it monthly as well and having Sta-Bill in the tank will prevent gen carb problems .
