Redhawk 26xd

Recently purchased a 2017 Redhawk 26d and have a few questions.
1. Mattress...Wanting to replace but how can one replace a folding mattress?

2. Have read the owners manual and it says I should have Schwintek Inwall slideout system. As I read it, there should be a Slideout system controller but I cannot find one anywhere..Am I missing something? I have heard stories of slides not able to come in and do not want to be out somewhere and not knowing how to bring them back in manually.

Thanks

You should have this in the Swintec manual in your owners documentation. Good description of everything. You can also call Jayco customer service and ask for the wiring diagrams. They are very helpful. Never hesitate to call.
Congratulation! We drove the 26 before we bought the 23xm. Nice handling coach!

Open slide-out, turn back mattress, unscrew and remove the the wooden cover. You will find a mess of wires, heating ducts and the elusive controller.
Have fun, Jayco never said it would be all fun.

Hi and welcome,

Can't help you with the mattress as we love ours, I sleep better in the MH than I do at home. When you take the plywood top of the bed box off, some suggestions:

Vacuum all of the sawdust and pieces of insulation out while you have it exposed.

We added some spray foam insulation where the wires come up thru the bottom of the coach. We could see daylight where they didn't spray in enough of the insulation/sealer.

We added a vent above the converter/charger (on the vertical bed base facing the bathroom wall) to let some of the heat out of the the electrical bay under the bed).

We neatened up the wires under the bed and secured them with Velcro wire wrap.

Have fun and be safe!

We just had our first 2 nights in our 26 XD. First night was painful. Added a 2 in memory foam and slept 100% better. Much cheaper than replacing the mattress.
