Rotten eggs smell
My grey water smells bad when I dump it or did I say when I disturb the water as I'm dumping it or when the tank gets full you can smell it. What can I use to sanitize it or make the smell go away way

I never notice a smell on mine. But I do see they make lemon smell discs you dissolve in the sink to help if you do on amazon.

We had the same problem. We smashed one of those RV toilet treatment pouches down the drain and the smell went right away.
I also see they make a special grey water treatment product that you can use but I already had the little pouches.

How are you getting close enough to your grey water to smell it? Just curious.. Maybe I'm missing something. Even at the dump station, I don't smell anything from either tank... not that I'm sticking my nose in the hose or anything..just my curiosity..
But yeah, you can use the same bio paks for your grey tank that many use in their black one.

When ours did that it was because the kitchen sink p-trap was dry (the water in that trap blocks the smell & gasses from coming back up). Opening a door or turning on the bathroom vent sucked that stink up the sink (I should be a poet). You might also try running some water down all of the drains.

You may also want to get up on the roof and check the vent pipes to make sure they are not clogged up

^^ My guess too. If this is happening when you are dumping the tank, I would bet that there is not enough air getting down the vent stack, and the suction is pulling the water out of your p-trap(s) allowing fumes back up into the coach. Don't just mask the problem by trying to cover it up; make sure that the underlying problem is solved as well.

If you're not dumping into a septic system; if you're dumping into a city sewer - then bleach.
Somewhere between 1/8th and 1/2 cup of bleach per gallon will make a nice sanitizing solution. Start off low concentration, let sit for an hour or three. Drain and rinse and check.
Bleach is corrosive so you don't want it to just sit.
Usually this is a one-a-season thing for our motorhome.

I suggest you not get a job in a sewage treatment plant.

We had a deceased mouse in the vent pipe. So, of course the smell having no where else to go, went into our little home on wheels.

We've had a stinky galley tank, too. One time the odor was being released by a defective air vent drain valve. Another time the galley tank was so stinky the stink made it into the trailer some other way. We added a treatment called Odorlos that time to the galley and it fixed the problem then.
For the black tank and the galley tank, we now add several gallons of water after dumping and have not had further odor issues. My theory is that the extra water in the tanks sloshes around when driving, and knocks particles off the tank walls, breaks up stuff into smaller pieces, and thus makes the contents ready to be flushed away at the next dump and that this controls the odor.

Possibly someone farted. Blame it on the other half. Or the dog. This usually works for me.
Check your vents on the roof, like mentioned earlier.
