RV COVER recommendations?

Thanks to all for this very helpful site. I have a 2009 greyhawk FK and am looking to buy a cover for winter in Boston area. anyone with a good experience here? I am familiar with ADCO but not others I saw a S2 expedition which looked really good for under $400 but only went up to 32 ft my greyhawk is 32ft 6 inches with ladder . anyone have one really great?

Have only used ADCO so far on two units. I see a brand called ELEMENTS, with multiple grades/prices, also, but no experience with them yet. Current cover is on 4th year, and starting to show some wear now. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Whatever Camping World had on display when we stopped on the way home from the last trip of the year. Had them measure the TT right in the parking lot!


Installed it 2 weekends ago without issue. What brand is it? I'm clueless.

Had an Adco cover and it was horrible, all the straps ripped when tightening, became brittle after one season, cost $250. So I scrapped that and bought an Empire Covers cover. It's supposed to be very good. Look for a sale, I got mine 45% off (which is a sham) for about $425. I live in the northeast, so I need something good.

Unfortunately I live under pine trees and have no cover for my Redhawk so think I should cover just to protect it from the sap. What do yall think?

This is the main reason that I am using a cover. The pine needles make quite a mess as well and even during the spring/summer I've had to work on keeping the roof clean. So I think it's definitely worth investing in a cover. I have the ADCO All-Climate/Wind Tyvek. I used their sizing tool to determine what size to get based on my specific trailer. I will say that it is a bit over-sized but most of the extra cinched up with the straps so I think it will be fine.

Elements covers are very nice. I JUST purchased one and it seems very well made.

I just put on my empire cover and it is way better quality than my last Adco. The fabric is completely different. Very good quality

I paid about $2200 for my carport, installed. It has 120 mph wind rating and I don't remember the snow load rating, but whatever is required in my area. I simply back up underneath it when I get home and pull out from underneath it when I leave. I can have my slide open and windows and vents open for ventilation year round. Easy to get in when its stored, easy to keep clean, don't have to dry it out between trips or mess with it at all.

It is pricy, but how long do those RV covers really last? My dad used them on our campers and they lasted 4 or 5 years before they started to tear. It was a pain in the neck when they were wet and it was always annoying to use (climbing on the roof and dragging it over AC, fridge and roof vents). When we had a trip planned a couple weeks out, we stopped using it because it wasn't worth the hassle of covering and then uncovering 2 weeks later. Over the long term, the carport is about the same price, MUCH easier to use, allows full use of your camper when stored and has value when you are done using it.

I JUST put an ADCO cover on my GH 31ss, got it from Camping World when it was on sale and free shipping a few weeks ago. Quality seems good, made with the Tyvek material, shipping weight was about 35# IIRC, and it is NOT a one person task for sure.

Love the idea of metal carport. Where did you get it for that price? When I did a search they were much more expensive.

We have had a carport and a building done by Carport1. They have been great, everything just as agreed upon, so I ordered a metal carport cover for our TT. 18wide x 41 long, complete, delivered and installed for $2700.00.

I too have been through many covers and the material type portable carports. I was tired of wasting the money and this is great. Plenty of room, I can open the slides, canopy, and be completely underneath of the cover.

If you use them ask for Brandon, he is part of the family that owns the company and really is professional. It is on the internet and you can even design your cover online at the website by the same name. Be careful there is another with a very close name. I will post a pic when it is built next month.

We got an ADCO from Amazon.com. Was about $100 less then at other so called cover sites. Fits beautifully also..
