Second AC retrofit.
I know this has been brought up numerous times in this thread. So I decided to do something about it. I am about 95% done with this modification to my Greyhawk 31FS. I remove the vent fan from above the rear bed and installed a 13,500 BTU Coleman Mach 3 with auxiliary heater. The only downside is it has its own power cord outside. It can't be used with the generator. All of the RV parks we frequent have a 20 amp breaker in the pedestal along with the 30 amp. I ran the power wire through a hole in the foam roof insulation into the cabinet above the bed. I drilled a hole so I can pull the wire through into the cabinet and ran the wire through the cabinet to the forward side of it and drilled another hole into the wall. I'll put some clamps in the cabinet so it won't be visible. I opened the access panel in the night stand and made another hole to feed the wire in to the access area under the bed. I found a hole near the low point drains and feed it though there to the outside. Then it was the matter of running along the frame to the power compartment. I put a sealed plug in there and made an extension cord from there to the RV part power pedestal. Long term plan is to put and twist lock plug on the out side for the coach 30amp power. And then add a trap door for the rear AC in the same location.
