Seneca 36FK mattess replacement

We may have found a replacement for the 6" hammock that Jayco provides. We bought a "Sleep Number" mattress from CW. In order to pull the bed slide in we have to deflate the mattress and cover the foot with a thick plastic tarp. The tarp is so it can slide under the closet furniture without abrading the mattress top…it's a tad higher than the opening it fits into. So far it has worked well, the real test being how it feels after a couple of weeks.

I haven't fully resolved where to place the pump as it must move with the bed. Right now it's at the right side of the bed on the floor. When retracting the slide, the pump is placed on top of the bed and the electrical cord stretches out. Ample cord to do that.

The co-pilot is happy.

Can you lower the sleep number to minimum and get it to go under?

We bought a rv king for our fiver 4 months ago and love it.

Have used the sleep number for 5 days now. Still messing some with what my number is…I'm trying 55, may go back to 50. Each nights rest is the same unlike the memory foam which eventually collapsed. DW is happy so I'm happy.

No the bed doesn't exactly fit under the closet furniture when deflated. That's why I use the plastic so the mattress fabric doesn't drag on the wood. It's close, but not quite. We're willing to live with the ritual given that plan B was a custom rebuild of bed to short queen.

I tried to tell Jayco that they need to offer a queen but they are really dense. Their market research question is probably "would you rather have a king bed than a queen?" If most of their customers usage is 1 week or less they never hear about their stupid decision.

It is interesting that Dynamax Force's king is only 75 inches long. Guess they got the message. And, they offer a queen option.
