Seneca cab step anti slip covering

My cab steps need the anti slip material replaced. What has anyone used as replacement material?

Plenty of products available on-line as well as Lowes or Home Depot. Many RV dealers also carry it in rolls.

Any chance you have any "after" pics? Did they duplicate the pattern of the original stick-on overlays? And do you know if the cured product is resistant to diesel fuel spills? I have had trouble with mine and know they won't hold up long-term.

Sorry to pepper you with questions!

I laid out the pattern which rolls over each step and completely encompasses the fuel fill areas. Impervious to diesel! I'll get some pictures when I return from the holidays. Definitely the way to go.

I would like to see the pics as well, one splash of diesel and the current Seneca non skid material will release.
Of course the diesel spill happened in NJ......the state where you can't pump your own. Nobody cares for your rig like you!

A similar product is available in aerosol at autoparts stores.

We were in NJ a few years ago doing some motorcycle riding. A young kid came up to pump our gas till my husband told him that he preferred to do it himself. The kid preceded to tell my husband that he was suppose to pump it. My husband asked had he ever pumped gas into a motorcycle before, the kid said no Sr. My husband then said, then your not pumping any into my cycle, I will do it myself. Went back there a few times and no one ever asked or tried to pump gas for us again.

I have fueled up in NJ many hundreds of times. Attendant always does it except for motorcycles, but they will try. I just have them hand the nozzle to me and they can work the pump. Everyone is nervous while doing this but no one carted off to jail yet.

LSA376. How about them pics...? :-)
I'm very interested in seeing how it turned out. Mine are banged up from fueling and like the idea of cleaning up the marks and protecting the area.

I have used inexpensive asphalt roof shingles. Great traction and they last forever.

I too took the steps off and had them Line-X at San Diego Line-X, which is impervious to fuel and anything else expanding slightly on the original non-skid pattern.

A picture when you can please! Would love to see what area you expanded the covering to.

Have to see who can do this here in northeastern Ohio. And if I might be nosy, how much did they charge?

On my monthly check of the MH in storage I will take and post a picture in a couple of weeks. I know the owner of the Line-X so got a great deal, but would have expected to pay in the $125-$200 range give or take. When you pull the non-skid tape off the steps the screws holding the steps to the frame will be exposed. Purchased countersunk washers (5724: Countersunk Washer) from Seastrom Manufacturing with stainless steel screws to reattach the stairs. There is nothing you can buy over the counter to match the durability of Line-X.

I am looking for the same thing... Drivers side traction tread is peeling away...

The pic taken yesterday shows where Line-X was sprayed on the steps on our 2012 Seneca two years ago prior to our trip to Alaska.

Very Nice... especially around the filler openings where mine are already scratched up.
