Seneca delivery coming up

Saturday I am finally picking up the TS from Albany RV. I wanted to thank everyone for their posts on this site. I am sure that without this site the experience would have been completely different.

With that said, looking for last minute advice on the delivery. I have already spent 5 hours in the unit driving it, running leveler, air conditioning and generator all working okay. For those of you that recently got your units are there any items that you would liked to have gotten a better description of or spent more time examining.? I have the delivery check list but was looking for items that might hit me when I get home.

Thanks again

Well it's about time Congratulations! I think you have read about all the issues. Be sure to bring some electrical tape or something for the mirror whistle for the trip home. I might have left mine on the side of the road if I couldn't fix that.

I just found out my bedroom is missing a screen from the window beside the bed. I never thought to check that. Also check your rear mud flaps. Mine were chewed up and missing one.

I spent so much time going over mine and still missed a bunch of little stuff. Just enjoy the experience and keep us posted.

Seneca delivery coming up

Thanks. I stopped by to sign some papers and they were doing the prep work. Saw them taking off the 2 year stickers and they haven't put on the rv ones yet though I am sure they will. javamon did you get the slide issue all sorted out?

I have the tape for the mirrors and then will need to work through the other rattles and squeaks. I am slightly hard of hearing and don't hear the noises but my wife sure does. So I think that will be my first issue to resolve.

I did not realize that the waiting would get worse the closer to delivery.

Happy travels

Oh yeah, the waiting gets worse The wait brought me back to being a kid and waiting for the new whatever. I do hate waiting!

Even worse is waiting to hit the road. We are about a month out before our 3 month trip in our new "tent".

On our way to Maine I was wondering if we should take a detour for a few days into Vermont. Any suggestions?

I would start in lake George New York. At the lake George rv park. Classic adirondack lake town.

Then I would go to Dorset vt and explore southern vt. Including Manchester. Drive up equinox mountain for a great view of New York vt and Massachusetts, visit Hildene ( president lincolns sons summer home. He was the president of the Pullman railroad car company and they have a restored car on site). .

Followed by driving up to the Burlington area and the lake Champlain islands. Beautiful lake surrounded by rolling hills and mountains.
Next would be to the Stowe vt area, nice vt ski area town. Visit trap family lodge of sound of music fame. Stop at Ben and Jerrys Ice cream for a tour.

Off to St Johnsbury vt. To see the dog chapel, Fairbanks museum and maple grove farms.

Then I would swing down to north Conway New Hampshire and explore the area around the white mountain national park and mount Washington. Highest peak on the east coast. It can snow any month and might be a nice relief from the heat of Florida.

Of course this route would add at least a week but could show you some places to focus on in the upcoming years.

You asked for it.

Did I mention I hate waiting.

Seems that I have. Once I went thru the resync drill about four times it settled down. Probably have deployed/retracted it a dozen times since then w/o incident. Also, we were pleasantly surprised at the minimal amount of creaks/squeaks while underway. The vast majority of underway noise were items we needed to stow a little better. We've put about 2500 miles on it since April 28 and we are overall very pleased.

Enjoy and be safe!

Good to hear your slide is working well.
I had a friend with me for the test drive that owns a high class a pusher and he too commented on the lack of noise from rattles in the coach itself. The two items my wife
Mentioned were the sound from the mirrors and a clicking sound that might be related to the issue you had in the wheel covers. Also. Need to stowe the microwave plate as that was making a racket.

Nice to see that for the most part these units are preforming as expected.

So far no issues with Albany rv / rvone. They have been pretty above board as far as I can tell.

Here we go, got all my stuff to load up in the rig. I look forward to the next phase of this process and can start to sleep again at night.

Thanks and I will follow up with my delivery notes in the next day or so.

RV Vermont, congrats on your new unit ! Although I don't have a Seneca,I check the owners forum every day and try to learn as much as i can.At this time I have a Greyhawk MV,2017,and someday want to move up to a super C. With that said from reading all the stuff on here I would definately check under the drivers seat for a loose fuse block that the fine craftsmen at the Jayco plant omit to fasten down, causing the fuses to short out on the raw metal .Hopefully maybee they now have a fix and send them out properly and safely fastened down.
I have read on here from a couple of owners of this problem, you might want to check it out....Seems pretty important to me.Again, best of luck with your beautifull motorhome!
