Seneca Engine Noise

Now that it's warmer in South Texas I've been using the cab a/c and on two occasions noticed what sounds like the engine fan come on for about 10-20 seconds. Each time it has happened as I'm accelerating from a traffic light. Prior to using the a/c I haven't experienced this.

So, is this normal? Have any other Seneca owners experienced this?

Oh yeah - the engine fan is REALLY noisy on the Seneca. Ours comes on in stop-and-go traffic once in a while, and you know when it starts up. It also has a distinctive sound when the fan clutch releases.

anav8or, thanks for the quick response, glad to hear it's normal. Still getting used to the Seneca vs. the fifth wheel we previously owned.

No problem. The first time ours kicked on was on an uphill climb at the entrance to our usual camping resort. It was loud enough to announce our arrival to the entire campground. It is effective, though - the water temp drops quickly.

We've had a ball with our Seneca and hope you do as well.

Ours does it also, more when the a/c is on. Climbing the saluda grade out of north carolina coolant temp climbed past 200 and the fan kicked on. Cooled it right down. On a positive note I was able to maintain 50+ mph up that grade and its a long pull.
