Seneca Purchase

I'm considering buying a new Seneca from RV Connections, however I'm concerned about obtaining good maintenance service from other shops since I did not buy from them. Any Comments

Welcome to the forum.

Our trailer was from Indiana RV Connections and the purchase and PDI went very smoothly.

Maintenance will vary and be dependent on the dealer. Some folks have problems, others do not. Personally, I've had no problems with any warranty or other work from Affinity RV in Prescott Valley, AZ.

All chassis and drivetrain work will go to Freightliner which is nice not having to wait on RV dealers backlog to clear. Coach related items should be able to be serviced by any reputable RV Service center. So many of the items like fridges, furnaces, etc are common across various RV manufacturers I wouldn't worry much about it.

Welcome to the forum! Finding a good repair shop is key. Some Jayco dealers won't touch your rig unless you bought it from them. Others might make you wait longer to get an appointment. I've read on the forum where folks have gotten approval from Jayco to go to a non Jayco dealer and get reimbursed for warranty work. Have fun shopping for the Seneca and keep us posted on what you end up buying.

Welcome to the forum! Like the others have said, any mechanical / maintenance stuff with my Seneca goes to my local freightliner/cummins shop , the reason they work on it and nobody else's MH is directly related to the M2 chassis. I use a non-jayco RV dealer about 20 min away for house issues because the jayco dealer won't service mine because their schedule is always full (I didn't buy from them). Good luck on your purchase! Let us know what you end up with!!

Thanks all for the info. Bottom line is what I suspected. I have a cummins shop not far away and a MH dealer in the area. Prior to buying I will contact them.

One would think that Jayco would require someone like Camp World to honor warranty items as a priority.

From my experience, many dealers fuss if you bought from a competing dealer. By this I mean, a dealer that is within acceptable shopping distance from each other. When you dont do this, and tell the servicing dealer that you bought your unit from a dealer far away, they will more than likely be glad to service your vehicle if they know that they will have your service business for foreseeable future.

Edit...additional info. I say this as this is what I did. I made my purchase while I was in Austin TX. However I live in Albuquerque, so I brought it to the dealer here and they had no issues working on it.

Simple as call them, and ask. I called Jayco dealer in Wichita Falls Tx. They said they would be happy to service my rig.
