Question Shower/tub floor gives a lot around drain

I'm looking at a 2004 greyhawk 24ss motorhome, it has the rear kitchen. I noticed when I stand in the tub/shower it feels like it is very soft and gives a lot when you get around the drain.
Is this normal, or should I be concerned? Any ideas how to look underneath? It appears to be raised as there is a vent coming out of the wall between the top edge of the tub and the floor.

Thank you

It is pretty normal for the manufacturer, but not to my standard. They use a ply base with some Styrofoam on top, but around the drain they haven't. I made the base bigger and supported the drain area and is a lot firmer.

Question Access

Thank you for your reply, I'm assuming you don't have the exact same one, but do you have any idea how to access underneath the tub/shower?

You should have an access panel somewhere to get at the plumbing hookups. I would suggest you remove that panel and look at the floor. I have a 29QBS trailer and my tub floor was very soft too. I looked underneath and saw that the plywood base under the tub only went across 2/3's of the tub floor. If you stood on the supported side, it was resilient. If you stood on the unsupported side it would flex and pull down.

I took pics and sent them to Jayco and complained about it. They authorized my dealer to take out the tub and surround and re-install the plywood base to properly support the tub. I've talked to several other 29QBS owners who had the same problem.

Hopefully that is the only issue.

My 2017 31fs has the same issue. There is an access panel on the lower left part of the outside bottom of the shower. I'm going to retrofit a support structure through that opening. I have only showered in it once, and I see that amount of give on the floor will lead to drain issues, leaks or possible cracking of the plastic itself. On my 96 Jayco, they had put a piece of 2x4 in there that was really not doing the job. Little has changed over 20 years. I haven't looked
under the new one, but I expect nothing or something inadequate.
