I have the back and the side view cameras and only use the backup camera, with the wide angle side mirrors, the side view cameras seem to be a waste.
We bought our Greyhawk new last year and truly enjoy every trip we have taken with her.

I am with The Hawk on this one. Have side view cameras but use the convex mirrors much more often. Could be I am just more used to using mirrors than cameras. The rear view camera is indispensible as far as I am concerned.

Thanks for the input on this. I am not piking up the vehicle until June so won't have a chance to try out for myself. I have driven bigger rigs (before the camers) and now had heard that they were especially nice on the passenger side when vehicles are along side. They would be out of the visibility of the rear camera and in the right side blind spot.
So for that reason I was wondering what the options were to add the mirrors. Looks like I have a lot of time to get a concensus. Already two for don't bother.
My Greyhawk has the side view cameras. I drive with the left side camera on since I nearly always seem to be in the slow lane. Don't know how much is involved in adding them.

We bought our 31DS one year ago, it has the side mirror cameras, but I prefer to use my mirrors. Did not have them on our previous 26DB, so that may be why.

We have a 2011 FS and i find even after never having driven an RV before that by the time the system switches to the side cams, i have already seen what i need to make my decision. they are really kinda worthless as the convex mirror can show you what you need. it takes about 2 seconds for the cams to come on.
I too am new to RVs and my Greyhawk is the largest thing I have driven, but I have a ext-cab/long-bed pick-up with a cap so I am pretty comfortable with using my mirrors.
I will add, most of the time I go to look at the display there is so much glare that I don't really trust my view of the screen as much as the mirror.

+3 on what johnd said. Don't bother adding the side view cameras. The only thing I see the cameras do is give the co-pilot an opportunity to say, "Are you sure you've got room?"!!"
