1986 Class C. Live in northern Mn and it is stored outside but covered well. My concern is the amount of snow that can be carried by the roof before I have to do something. Getting at the unit is a problem, Any ideas on this Thanks
I'll bet you "Hilltop" doesn't remove the snow from the units sitting on their lots. I personally wouldn't worry about it. I only pulled the snow off if we were going to head out. Didn't want it flying off onto another car our truck. I used an Ames plastic roof snow rake, you can pull it off while standing on a stepladder.
Had almost four feet of snow on our roof last year (back to back storms) before I removed some of it. As Grumpy suggested, used a plastic snow rake and step ladder. Talked to the dealer about it too, and they said they don't do anything until they get to six feet.

Drove south from Sandy, UT a couple weeks ago. Left with about a foot of what must have been heavily iced snow on a Monday, about 3 inches were still there when leaving Las Vegas on Friday. The rest melted in SoCal desert. I think raking it could have damaged the roof. Although I didn't realize how much was on the roof when we left Sandy. We were a hit at the Oasis RV park, a constant dripping hit.

No, Hilltop doesn't - nor does any other RV dealer around the Twin Cities. We store ours at Hilltop, and with notice, they will take it to their shop and let the accumulated snow melt before we pick it up.
