That's exactly what I was planning on doing. Buy the "Tire" and that way I don't have to worry what type/kind/brand tire they have.

As for Alaska, I have a friend of mine who just went there with his Airstream and ended up having to buy 2 expensive tire over there. Not to mention the unpaved roads are hard on tires. ......just saying

it is one of the reasons they stopped putting spares on rigs your size..saving a few bucks is the reason
Best bet is to have a good road side ERS and let them deal with it.. just think about the costs of the extra tire and rim, the weight penalty and the space they take up...You'll still get charged twice what the tire should cost - if they can find the right tire - otherwise you'll pay double for a tire that you'll have to replace
Tires like you have on that rig don't often go flat as long as you care for them and inspect on a regular basis... That's a good plan - don't even need an ERS then
