Stabilizers after slides?

I'm not sure if you are supposed to put down the stabilizers before or after your slides are out? I've been sitting for a month on asphalt.. would it make sense to reset stabilizers since I put them down b4 slides went out? Thanks as always for your wisdom!

It does recommend running the auto-level with slides in and no one inside. In the same token I have re-leveled my Fiver with the slide out.

You should always level your coach before putting out your slides. Bad things happen when your slides are not level. Slides can get racked and jammed or they can scrape places they are too close too. My in-laws didn't level their coach before they put out their slide and put a nice gouge in their floor.
Swintek slide are very sensitive to leveling since they run on small gear motors.

Not unless your sinking in the dirt or you have a stabilizer (s) that are leaking. I've camped before and checked mine and they were fine when I thought I was sinking.

I've read that motorhome should not be stored with stabilizers down; and if it is, the stabilizers should be retracted periodically.

True. And when camped for an extended period all you really need to do is spray the cylinders periodically with WD-40 and wipe them down. No need to retract unless the coach has settled.

Granted every site is different, but I've been parked on gravel with our FW for 3 months and it has not settled any.

There are no stupid questions here, if you don't know just ask!

You spray the shiny part that is exposed when the stabilizer is extended. You don't want that part to corrode or it will damage the seal and then the cylinder will leak. A little preventative maintenance goes a long way.

When I am servicing my unit after a trip I block my wheels and then manually extend a pair of jacks (front or rear) as far as they will extend. Then I spray them and wipe them down with paper towels then retract them.

If I were set up somewhere for an extended period of time I would likely just spray the exposed section and wipe them down where they sit. Probably would do it more frequently if I was in a humid location.
