Standard Radio/DVD/CD unit in Melbourne

Hello,
I am new here and looking for some information on an older 2008 Jayco Melborne MH. It had only 8125 miles on it. Like new, never used by old couple.
It clean as a whistle. It is satellite ready , 2 TVs and entertainment center.
I have downloaded the 2008 Melbourne owners manual.
The Radio/DVD/CD players was removed by previous owner. I am trying to replace with appropriate unit. Can you tell me what type of media device was provided in that year unit.
Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Welcome to JOF.

I am sure someone here with the same rig can give you some info. You may be able to replace it with something much better than the OEM unit.

To original poster (malysc)...go to ebay, and search for 2008 Ford E450 OEM radio (assuming this camper is on a Ford E450 chassis), and if you are asking about what Ford offered as OEM for that year. You will find original factory radios for sale there, if this is what you are looking for. There will also be items that are not factory original that will show up, but will fit non the less if you also buy a install kit, and wiring adaptor.

There were most likely a couple of different OEM radios available for that year. My 2005 Ford E450 offered a AM/FM/cassette and CD option, AM/FM only, an AM/FM 6 CD, and AM/FM with CD and GPS. I had a 2007 Ford F150 with the AM/FM with CD and GPS, but the yearly GPS map update disk was costly, and the maps stunk compared to what you can get off of your cell phone these days, so I'd shy away from that one. Plus, the GPS radio was "married" to your VIN, so if you buy a used one, it has to be unlocked from the previous owners vehicle. It can be done, but by a radio specialist (found on google search). The other non GPS equipped OEM radios are plug and play.

You may want to remove the existing non OEM (?) radio first, and see if the previous owner used an adapting wire harness, one that plugs into the factory radio wiring plug, and the other end has the aftermarket radio harness plug. This way you will be safe in knowing you can simply remove the aftermarket radio with its non OEM radio harness plug, and then simply plug in the factory OEM harness straight to the OEM radio.
