Steps and door lock

Our auto steps and door lock is not working. We've checked fuses but don't see one out. Does anyone know which fuse or what else it could be?

I think door lock is battery operated.
Steps are electric. Is main battery switch on and is the switch to keep them out turned on? It is located on the same panel by the entrance door.
You may have checked these but thought I would add my two cents.

We were able to get the door locks to work by unhooking the battery and reconnecting. Still nothing on the steps. Yes the main power is on (recently replaced the switch and it worked after that) but nothing.

Using a small magnet on the door's magnetic step sensor listen for engagement noises of the step motor.
Check the step wiring harness for a fuse, typically accessible with the steps extended.
Visually verify the steps or linkage are not bent.
Disconnect the linkage to verify proper motor operation.
The motor is a standard power window motor and easily changed.

The other day while loading the rig for a trip I just happened to see a piece of black plastic with dried-up 2-sided tape on the ground below the door. When we were ready to leave the next day, the steps wouldn't retract, and I discovered that the little black plastic piece was a magnet that meets its mate at the bottom of the door frame and acts as an extend-retract switch for the stairs. You might check if you have both sides of that switch in place.

Best of luck in getting a speedy resolution to your steps problem. Personally, I always liked the old manual non-electric steps better, but progress...

Sadhrd1, it might help if you told everyone what year and model your rig is.
Add it to a signature line so people don't have to hunt for it to give meaningful answers.

Have you checked the fuses behind the house battery? My door is 12v powered, and fused by one of the fuses behind the battery. Step might be too. Some models of Jayco I know come with door locks that work off a couple of alkaline batteries, but mine (2012 Greyhawk) is wired into the coach 12v power
