Stone/rock guard! What to use?

Just got my Greyhawk 31FS and had them set up my Jeep as a toad. Now I need to decide on a guard to protect it. What are most using? I have done some research and I am leaning towards the "Protect-a-tow" screen. Thoughts? Anyone using one of these? Thanks

I installed the Rock Solid Tow Guard on my 2014 31DS. I'm sure it stops some road gravel from reaching the toad but on our summer long trip to Alaska last year we always had piles of gravel on the toad's windshield after driving on rough gravel roads. But surprisingly there was no windshield or paint damage. I would choose something else.

We use the Guardian Tow Sheild, from CW, on our Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Easy to mount/remove, does the job, no complaints.

I'm using the Blue Ox BX88255 KarGard II Deflector. Only towed about 1500 miles since installing it, but so far I haven't seen any nicks or dings on the toad.

Like Tom & Deb, we purchased the Blue Ox KarGard II. It's only been out for one 1500 mile trip as well. Although we experienced three hundred miles of heavy rain at one point, we feel the KarGard screen served us very well. No issues on the Toad (Subaru Forester). I feel the life of the screen is not installing it "too tight".

We have over 10K on a "Blue Ox BX88255 KarGard II Deflector", with no damage to the Chevy Traverse. Great piece of equipment. Only complaint is that it sure does get dirty. But I guess that is part of its job. ;-)

I purchased the BlueOX Kar Gard II for our '15 Jeep Wrangler only to discover a tiny disclaimer on the install instructions that if you have the Avail tow bar manufactured after 12/10/15 it requires a 31" tab spacing. The BlueOX base plate has ~24" between the tabs. Back to Amazon it goes...

Now to find something else to use on our Redhawk....

Suggestions??

I read you post over and over. I keep thinking of the tabs on the screen of the KarGard on the end next to the car. Those tabs hold the screen next to the tow connection on the car, and are adjustable on my unit. They have the ability to slide in and out across the bar, allowing adjustments of any distance from what looks like 18" narrow to 36" wide or more.

If you open the box, look at the two tabs that are applied to the pins on the tow bars near the towed vehicle. The tabs on my unit slide in and out...

I called BlueOX and talked to a technician and she said there was a clearance issue with the KarGard and some piece on the Avail tow bar that caused the issue. I was hoping she had a fix but did not. I haven't taken the time to really evaluate it and see if I can get creative and find one though. I'm like you..When looking at it I can't figure out why it won't work.
