Originally, I had hoped to just replace the flush cable, but as the toilets in ours have the cables epoxied in place, that makes the job significantly more difficult. As best I can tell:
Essentially, you must remove the bowl from pedestal, break the glue loose, remove the cable, replace cable assembly, re-glue, return the bowl to pedestal ensuring that the gasket around the ball valve is not damaged to prevent loss of water.
-Or... Go buy a new toilet, unscrew two bolts, disconnect water, replace unit, tighten bolts, connect water.
I could be totally incorrect and there's a way to remove the cable without tearing up the glue / re-gluing, but I was unable to find one...
In researching parts for this model, I did find out that our toilets water valve drive assembly tends to crack and will begin to "perspire" which is an entirely different and easily fixed issue where you just remove 3 bolts and swap out the defective part. -I would recommend everyone order one and keep handy.
