Thinking of going back A to C

Had a C class last year with just a dinette. Fell in love with the Jayco class A layout and traded it for a Precept. Thinking we jumped the gun. I loved driving the C but the A feels like a boat. It's beautiful, we added stabilzers etc, but only hubby will drive it. Anyone else have the same regret?
Thought I would get used to it
Thinking of trying to convince him to trade again and get a Greyhawk and have a new Precept in the driveway!

Have you test driven a Seneca? It might be the best of both worlds.

Nice layouts but so big for just 2. We have 31UL. I was looking at brochure for 29mx. Wonder how it would drive.

Does it really drive that differently? DW and I are kicking around what to do the next time around and a Precept or a Seneca is where we're leaning. Not sure when, but getting extra CCC is the goal. I haven't driven either so your thread is very interesting to me !

We have a Seneca 37FS and full time in it. It works for us and wife drives
almost as much as I do. Works for us, the search is half the fun.

We went for the Seneca due to driveability (and best basement storage space available in a Class C)... but that was based on riding as passengers in a friend's gasser Class A (non-Jayco)... we didn't like how it floated and bobbled down the road. Precepts may do better (or may not).

Our plan in the Seneca is to split the driving 50/50 on long trips (we may have to arm-wrestle for who GETS to drive).

Note - you do have to contort yourself a little to get from the driving cab into the main living space if you don't want to go outside first, so if you have knee or hip issues, that might be a downside.

Second Note - the Seneca does drive like a Mack Truck, and the dash is far, far away, so not as cozy as driving our F350 (we upgraded from pulling a 5th wheel). Engine noise is about the same level as the F350, also.

We've only had ours out for one weekend so far, but LOVE it!

From the "for what it is worth department":

Too little front end +caster will manifest itself as "loose steering" and "wandering" at highway speeds. For best results you want to have at least +5 degrees, Ford ships the E series set at about +3 degrees.

Adjusting caster is one of the 3 adjustments made during a front end alignment.

The 3 angles that are adjusted during an alignment are:
1. Toe
2. Camber
3. Caster

Take your unit to a truck alignment shop and tell them your unit "wanders" at highway speeds and you read on the Jayco forum you need more "positive" caster (at least + 5 degrees).

The specified range of the E series caster adjustment is +1.5 to +6.5 Degrees.

The Seneca is a TRUCK, most Class A's are a BUS. That needs to be accepted and understood. Our Seneca is a truck, acts like a truck, sounds inside and out like a truck. Is a truck.

We love our M-2 Seneca Freightliner TRUCK.

I guess I would have to drive both to understand; my only frame of reference would be my various cars or my E450 motorhome.
