Unfortunately those of us who frequently travel with our adult children and grandchildren the choices are limited to larger vehicles, usually SUVs. And none of them offered today are manual transmissions. I do have a manual 6-speed Focus ST toad when it is just the wife and I and it is marginally easier to prepare for towing, but not really much. Neither vehicle has any fuses to be pulled prior to towing like some vehicles do. And getting my Even Brake in place is the same (easy) in either vehicle.

I have a charge line from the motorhome that charges the toad's battery, necessary due to the power consumed by the toad brake. Prevents any battery issues when the drive is done. I would recommend one for most who tow 4-down.

Tow dollys are not an option for most AWD vehicles, it is generally all 4 off the ground (trailer) or all 4 on the ground (towbar) if the drivetrain is suited for RV towing. It would damage things very quickly on my Explorer if only one axle is rolling!
