Towing with Redhawk

Is anyone towing a TOAD on a dolly with the E10 Chasis? How does this affect gas mileage? Planning to use dolly due to Ford Escape can't go 4 Down as per Ford.

Tow Dolly

We tow our VW Golf wagon on a tow dolly, haven't really used the MO,HO without towing the car. We are usually between 6MPG and 7.5MPG. Tows like a dream very impressed.

What tow dollies are you guys using? I'm considering a dolly as our Cmax hybrid model has "issues" with being towed 4 down.

I purchased a Steel with electric brakes. Dolly is extremely well made heavy duty. My tow weighs about 3200lb. No problem at all as I hardly know it's back there.

We use a Acme tow dolly with disk surge brakes. Maybe 1 mpg less than without towing which is between 7.5 and 8. My wife's Hyundai Sonata is what we tow, don't really notice it there.

if your escape is all wheel drive you can't dolly it. must trailer it or put the transmission upgrade in it

Tow dolly

We bought a used tow master with surge brakes. Nice not needing a brake controller although I had to set the brakes up as it wasn't holding back as much as I'd like. Better now.
