TV antenna / cable power switch location

Our trip last weekend was our first opportunity to try out the cable. No dice. (TV does work with the regular antenna.) Finally ended up moving the TV (in the cabover entertainment center) to see what was going on behind it. Found the wall plate with two coax jacks, power button and green light. Turned off the power button and voila! - cable.

Now why on earth would Jayco mount the power switch BEHIND the TV? Do you really have to move the TV every time you want to switch between cable & air TV?
If so, I may have to do some re-wiring...

If it helps, our rig also has the satellite dish, however no other boxes / controls are present. And the rig's manual says nothing about any of the TV cable wiring.

Probably because that is where the wires terminated and putting it elswhere would require more effort.

We have a 2010 31 FS and the power button for the ant is behind a removable trim piece beside the TV. The outlet and cable/sat connections are located there as well.
