TV while driving

I know this is covered but can't find it. I did see a reference to disconnecting where the purple and red wires connect. Is this right?

Not sure it was covered in the other thread but keep in mind that in most states it is illegal to operate a TV where it is visible to the driver when the vehicle is in motion.
