Upcoming First Oil Change on 2016 31FK..

Going to be doing the first oil change on our 2016 31Fk (found a good video about how to change it on the Ford V10) and wanted to get your guys opinions.

1) What brand 5w-30 oil do you use? (May be personal preference but if you have a good expierence, please share!)

2) What brand filter?

Thanks in advance!!

I just buy the cheapest I can find, which around here is Chevron. Same with the filter which is usually NAPA or Wix. Just make sure you use 5/20 as recommended in the Ford manual.

I would spend the couple bucks extra and buy the ford filter. Not all aftermarket filters are the same as OEM.
Oil, what ever brand you like that is the correct weight.

Oil changes are super easy - given all the room underneath. You may need a filter wrench for the first change.

Mine says: 5W-20

I've done two so far, both with:

Mobil-1
and a Motorcraft Filter

I have not got to my first oil change yet on my 2016 Ford chassis. My manual states BOTH 5W-20 and 5W-30 without a preference noted. However, the oil fill cap says 5W-30, so I will go with that. I will use AMSOIL (as in all my vehicles) and a Motorcraft FL-820S filter.

Same here. In the off chance I'd need to make a claim under the Ford 60,000 mile drivetrain warranty, I do not want any questions raised regarding improper oil or filter.
