Water filter leak

One end of my water filter is leaking. Issue is that it's under the galley sink. I am able to reach it, but with only one arm and 2 hands are needed. Have a bank of drawers but don't know the trick to remove them. It's a Greyhawk 31DS. Anyone had success doing this task? This filter will be replaced with a pex line. Hopefully by me and not a $100/hr tech.

You might find a bypass hose in a clip up under and near the filter. Mine had it and I was told it was for bypassing the filter as many don't use it.

Can't help you with getting a smaller body!

Pull the drawers all the way out. There is a small black clip on each side in the middle of the track, push one down and lift the other one up then the drawer should pull out.

Thanks for the good info. Will try to remove the 3 drawers and maybe then wife or I will be able to reach. One good arm each could get it done. My goal now is to replace the filter with that piece of pex pipe permanently. My easy to access supply hose filter should be enough.

Never installed the one under the sink in our SENECA, Royal PITA.. Used a whole house with hose connections.

Same here, we used it a few months and then one day priced the replacement. Ouch, it was almost $25. I installed a whole house filter in the basement and it is much less costly to maintain.

Just to follow up. I did finally get the under sink filter removed (had to remove all the drawers and cuss a lot) and replaced it, permanently, with the factory supplied piece of bypass hose. Never again! Now I only use the inexpensive whole house filter that easily connects to the water spigots at the camp ground. Thank you all.
