Does your rearview camera have the option to display its picture driving down the road (not just when in reverse)? I have found it comforting to watch things for a bit when first starting out to make sure toad is tracking straight and everything looks good. I don't know if you have to unlock the Subaru's steering column prior to towing, don't ask me how I know that is critical in some vehicles!

I also depend on my TPMS to watch the toad's tires. While the new Subaru has its own TPMS for when you are driving it, that doesn't help when towing. And there are plenty of scary stories about flats on towed vehicles that are never recognized by the driver until it is too late. A wise investment for any setup in my opinion be it a towed trailer or car.

I have yet to establish the camera issue. Still in deep research about the TPMS issue.

It's my plan to scrutinize everything before the first foot of towing.
1) unlock the steering, key on ACC,
2) manual transmission in natural,
3) connect the tow bar, properly locked,
4) connect the little red cable,
5) Safety Chains in place,
6) Patriot Brake box in place and properly set

Set the rear camera for a visual as we start our first two....

When unhooking don't forget to put the toad in gear before casting off. The toad just may wander off by itself.

Has anyone else towed a one ton dually? Did you have any issues?

I don't know anyone who has towed a one ton dually. Is it an automatic? I know some transmission don't lube the rear bearings and seals when not powered from the engine.

At 6'4-1/2" I thought the same thing. I could still wear a hat and not touch the roof with it up. Getting in and out is getting tougher as I age though. It was already set up to tow when I bought it and as soon as I drove it, I knew it was a done deal.

We will be towing a 2015 CVO Street Glide and a 2016 Ford Explorer on our Tandem Tow dolly.

I don't tow anything right now but based on my research the Jeep Wrangler will be my first choice. There are a lot of options. You can even tow some front wheel drive automatics using a transmission fluid pump.
