What do these do?

I found these inside Harvey the RV 2010 Greyhawk on a recent trip...I think they were covered by boxes and camping gear...oh well.
So my question is:
What are these for?
I have the outside low point drain...what do these do? what are the settings?

Thanks

The outside drain you're referring to is the fresh water tank drain. Those valves in your picture are the low point drains for your plumbing.

What are they supposed to be set at?

Vertical (or in line) for draining and horizontal (as shown in pic) for normal use.

Or which ever way you don't have water running out the bottom of your unit...

Open them to drain water from your lines if you plan to blow out the system with air to winterize. Then close them.
If you're running antifreeze just leave them closed.

I never leave them or my fresh water tank drains open once the lines and tank are empty. Spiders and insects can find their way into the lines thru the valves.

If all is well now, just turn them 90 degrees to drain the lines.

A easy way to verify is with city water connected just turn one and water should appear in the drain pipe below.

It is likely 2 separate LP drains.

One for the hot water line, and one for the cold water line

Thanks everyone!
Seeing as it is coming on on the cold season, your information is most valuable.
I wonder if others know about these little out of the way valves and what they need to do with them for winterizing their MH?
Honestly, I cannot remember reading anything about them in the Owners Manual...on the other hand, I cannot remember what I had for dinner last night..

So here is a question: If you drain the tanks, drain the plumbing...why the need to put antifreeze in the system? Is there really that much water left that can damage the piping?

The short answer is yes.

Longer answer is the fittings inside of every valve in your camper, outdoor shower head, inside shower head, p-traps, sink and tub faucets, the small areas inside your water pump, all collect and retain water that will freeze solid, even using compressed air, it's nearly impossible to get it all out. RV Antifreeze is cheap enough.

Yes there is.

Look in the section of your owners manual on winterizing and don't get caught without doing it if it is going to freeze hard.

In addition to all the above, running antifreeze through the toilet water valve is a must.

When I am winterizing, I open each low point drain valve until pink antifreeze comes out. Those valves can freeze also.

I made a special trip to my storage lot last weekend just for that.

Couple other things I forgot to do, now fixed...

Pump antifreeze through the shower head in the bathroom - originally I just ran it through the tub faucet into the tub drain.

Pump antifreeze into the City water connection (manual hand pump).. while doing this, I just had the shower head in the bathroom turned on.. was surprised there was still clear water in the shower head.

Pump antifreeze into the black tank flush (manual hand pump)

and finally, and this is the item I forgot *this time* - pump antifreeze into the fresh water tank /gravity connection (or otherwise ensure that you don't have clear water in that area). Looks like I have to make another trip out there for just that one item. I should have made a checklist but I didn't think I would be forgetting stuff this easily. Better safe than sorry
